2008 Senoir Journalist Luncheon On Friday June 27, leading U.S. and Asian Journalists shared their insights from the East-West Center's Senior Journalists Seminar with a luncheon audience at the Hawai`i Imin Conference Center. The Senior Journalist Seminar features an EWC study tour that delves into interfaith relations and its impact on domestic and international politics. In this program, journalists engage their peers and leaders of Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and Hinduism on issues that have caused tension between these Asian countries (which have substantial Muslim populations) and the U.S., especially since 9/11. In addition to the Honolulu Community-Media Council, the luncheon was sponsored by: The East-West Center, Friends of the East-West Center, Pacific and Asian Affairs Council, University of Hawai`i - Dept. of Communication, Society of Professional Journalists, and the Asian American Journalists Association.
